Markdown Lens does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or sensitive user data. The extension operates as a local utility tool. All processing, including Markdown parsing and HTML rendering, occurs entirely within your local browser environment.

2. Permissions

To fulfill its single purpose, the extension requests the following permissions:

• activeTab: Used solely to read the raw Markdown text of the page so it can be rendered into HTML.
• File URL Access: Optional permission granted by the user to allow the extension to render .md files stored on your local machine.

3. Third-Party Sharing

Since no data is collected, no information is ever shared with, sold to, or viewed by third parties. We do not use any external analytics or tracking scripts.
